Yes this is correct when using the ‘S’ type plug. If you try this with the ‘N’ type plug it will not work.

hi,i have a car tranceporter trailer with a winch with own battery & want to connect a charging system to battery ,would i be right in thinking to conect the blue to live of batt & white to earth,regards nigel

Just run the 2 earth wires to a good earth point put ring tags on each one this shares the load.

These could be linked if you used a heavy enough supply / Return cable but the 7 core S type cable would not be suitable.

hi i was looking at ur diagram and wondering if terminals 2 and 6 could be linked out as they do the same job and is it ok to earth terminals 3 and 7 at the same point on the towing vehicle ?? thankyou mike
